As for the opening acts on this tour, his first choice is Justin Moore, who has toured with Paisley before. I haven’t been impressed with Moore’s work as of late because a lot of it has been bro country. Maybe his next album he’ll start making better music. His other choice for his opening act is much more exciting to me. Mickey Guyton was tabbed by Paisley to open for him too. This is a huge opportunity for Guyton as she’s getting ready to release her debut album. Her single “Better Than You Left Me” has been garnering lots of praise from other artists, critics and fans. In fact Paisley said this of her a few weeks ago on Twitter:

Of course the always humble Guyton responded with this:

I may have not enjoyed Paisley’s latest work, but I applaud him for giving a talented artist like Guyton a big opportunity like this one. Guyton is the female artist country music has needed for a while.

What’s your thoughts on Guyton’s opportunity? Anybody planning to get tickets for any of the stops?

This sounds like a great tour, unfortunately the venue he is coming at for me (Darien Lake) is just such a pain traffic wise and the people who come to those shows are drunk out of their friggin minds. Some guy one time spilled his beer on my lap…. and this was to see Keith Urban! A show that you wouldn’t expect to get rowdy. I think my biggest issue with the genre is not the overly pop/rock elements in country, not the repetitive lyrics, its the uncontrollabe rowdy shows. The types of crowds that have been attracted to modern day shows are there to get wasted and ruin other peoples good times. Ugh…sorry for the semi rant.

Anyway, I really don’t mind Justin Moore live, I don’t go out of my way to listen to his music but he’s not bad live IMO. The addition of Mickey Guyton is great too, definently a thumbs up for Brad on that though. Although Brad? You know that steel guitar thing you mentioned? How about YOU start using it huh?

The show looks good and if I can I might get tickets
