I hate to say it, but I’m a little bothered that ZBB is sitting atop the COUNTRY music charts with his new album. Are there parts of it that are 1000x better than what gets peddled out of the mainstream? Undoubtedly, however this is one album that I just can’t argue is more “country” than some mainstream stuff. To be quite honest, the country material on Jekyll & Hyde is some of the least prevalent material on there (save for the lone big band song, Mango Tree). It’s just my two cents on the matter.

On the bright side, I can’t wait to see next week when Chris Stapleton is at #2! I love that record and is easily one of my favorites this year!

Yeah I never thought I would be bothered buy a ZBB album at the top of the chart, but here we are. Personally I think Stapleton could get #1 next week. We can only only hope!

Really, you think so? I would love nothing more than that, it just seems like ZBB is going to be a formidable opponent for next week. I definitely think that that album has the potential to shake up the way mainstream country operates.

Josh there’s no way he gets #1 the sale projections are 22k-25k and ZBB will probably get around 50k after that it looks like the next possible album to threaten #1 would be Kelsea Ballerini if she sells enough.

I decided to listen to a couple of these albums like FGL Chase Rice to see if Josh’s were right for each one and well I made it to 2 tracks before giving up. I am curious though Josh what did you think of Miranda Lambert Cole Swindell Eric Church and Dierks Bentley all except Coles to me were really solid.

I was very disappointed with ZBB’s new cd. Tyler Farr’s new one is ok. Reba was very good and so is Dwight. Little Big Town and Blake Shelton new cd’s was great! Florida Georgia Line, Chase Rice, and Sam Hunt cd’s wasn’t that great.
