    Not to diminish the poll, but Darius Rucker is from South Carolina and I believe Granger Smith is a Texan. And aren’t Kenny Chesney and Dustin Lynch both from Tennessee?

      Yes. As I said in my initial tournament post, the top seeds in the region are from Georgia, so that’s why I called it the Georgia Region even though not all artists in it are from Georgia.

    This is idea is genius. Well done!

    I actually had to vote for Darius Rucker over Luke Bryan, just for Rucker’s peddling the “country fans don’t want country music to evolve” line as documented by Trigger at Saving Country Music. His status as a washed-up rocker gone country put him on shaky enough ground as it was, especially with his output, but between that, implicitly defending what mainstream country music has become, and his previous statements that he actually wanted to do Real Country Music, it was a no-brainer for me.
