A handful of good albums & ep’s but not one outstanding album in the last weeks.
On the “meh” list: Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Cole Swindell & the new shitty Gary Allan single.
On the “so-so” list: Josh Turner (“Hometown Girl”), Travis Collins & Jason Owen.

My current singles & songs playlist:
Brecken Miles – “Liar Out Of Me”
    Deep Creek Road – “Anchor”
    Ryan Beaver – “Dark”
Kaylens Rain – “Catching Red Light ”
    Kaylens Rain – “Go There”
Kaylens Rain – “Living On Love”
    Mary Fletcher – “Southern Time”
Tony McKee – “Ever After Someday”
State Line Drive – “Me Here Without You”
Steve Dorian – “Runnin’ Red Lights”
Samantha Landrum – “One Stone At A Time”
Rebecca Lee Nye – “You, Me, Love (On A Saturday Night)”
Paul Costa – “Sad Old Country Song”

    My watchlist:
    Maren Morris – “Hero”
Paul Costa – all albums (country singer from “down under”)
    Craig Morgan
    The Wolfe Brothers
Scotty Alexander (released 5/26 but no time to listen to the album)

Check-Out/New Ep: The Abrams – “The Abrams” (Lightbox Records – Warner Canada)
The next FGL-clones. The Ep is cheap here (2,99€ – Google Play”). 2/10.

Check-Out/New Ep: Steve Dorian – “Living” (Steve Dorian – No Label)
Sounds like a one-man version of FGL (“Edge of 18”, the single). The second half of the ep is better. My highlight: “Runnin’ Red Lights”. A modern-country midtempo cut. 6/10.

Check-Out/New Ep: Tony McKee – “American Dream” (Go Time Records)
Seven -country- tracks. No FGL clone. Solid mix of ballads (“A Country Song”), midtempos (“Lightning Bugs”) & my favourite track: “Ever After Someday” (the only uptempo cut). 7/10.

I’ll have to check out your recommendations. Haven’t heard any of them.

Not necessarily (or even) country, but the new releases by Bonnie Bishop, Diana Rein and Lauren Jenkins (the original songs) are pretty damned good.

Waiting for a chance to download the Bishop & Jenkins songs. But it’s not on Amazon or Google Play here. The day will come!
